"Junita"
Junita began her Eastern influenced dance career at age 6. Her initial training was in the ancient Indian classical dance forms of 'Manipuri' (lots of grace), 'Oddissi' (one of India's temple dance forms) and 'Kathak' (lots of spinning). The training took her to Kolkata and Mumbai where the disciplines were further cemented under instructional workshops. Since then she has been fusing her classical foundations to the vibrant grooves of Bollywood, performing and teaching at various events nationally and internationally. Recent credits include the Sydney Festival 2010 (A.R.Rahman concert), the Darling Harbour Holi Mela Mahostava and Tour De Dance. She loves to teach with a focus on fun, fitness and Goddess awakening of the dance spirit in all of us!
